Redmine Sleepmeter - Feature #255 (New): support google drive for backup and syncing across multiple deviceshttps://css.squallline.com/issues/2552013-05-09T19:45:29ZTony Ciavarella

With the advent of the newfangled google drive thing, it might be good to allow users to backup their history and settings to it. Also, it could be used to keep multiple devices in sync for both history and settings.
Sleepmeter - Feature #244 (New): add ability to export statistics in Excel formathttps://css.squallline.com/issues/2442012-08-02T13:33:02ZTony Ciavarella

For people that sleep before midnight, it would be better to split the daily sleep bar graph at noon rather than midnight so they would get contiguous bars instead of broken bars with some small ones at the top.

It would be nice to show quality on the aid/hindrance/tag graphs also.
Widgets - Feature #191 (New): don't remain in the asleep state for more than 24 hourshttps://css.squallline.com/issues/1912012-03-17T00:57:06ZTony Ciavarella

Right now, the widget can be stuck in the asleep state until the end of time. This more than a little stupid. There should be a reasonable cut-off whereby the widget automatically goes back into awake mode. Perhaps 24 hours is a good limit.
Sleepmeter - Feature #180 (New): automatically adjust quality when holes are addedhttps://css.squallline.com/issues/1802011-12-15T00:44:04ZTony Ciavarella

Another thing I’d like you to consider is an adjustment to the behavior of the Quality setting on the Record tab. The slider for the Quality setting defaults to 5, a logical middle point. Just above that slider is the “Holes” button. My sleep pattern is such that my input nearly always includes holes, and it seems reasonable to me that entry of multiple holes should cause the “Quality” setting to automatically adjust to “I woke up a time or three” (Quality level 3). It’s a minor thing, but if it’s not much trouble, please consider it.
Sleepmeter - Feature #177 (New): allow a value of don't care/ignore for qualityhttps://css.squallline.com/issues/1772011-12-11T14:20:06ZTony Ciavarella

Sometimes people don't enter quality. It's stupid to require this value and use it to compute stuff when it is meaningless.

These might be considered requirements of this feature:

allow users to specify a don't care value on the data entry tab

allow users to specify the default quality should be the ignore value

handle don't care in graphs and statistics

handle don't care in CSV files

Does recording sleep periods with a quality of zero mean they will be counted as having had sleep? I'm an avid user of your program, but I don't remember having this issue come up before.
Just a thought on days with no sleep, mabe add an option to consider blank days in the statistics, or to do the current behaviour? Or when adding a new record and there was one missing for the previous day(s), ask the user if they forgot (if so, mark days as forgotten) or if one was awake for that duration (then mark the day as being awake)?

It would be way cool to have a sleep aid scatter plot that showed all the aids on one graph and their nightly durations scatter plotted in different colors or something like that. Where each aid has a dedicated vertical region of the graph with mean.

Filters! I want to be able to see at a glance how my sleep is doing over time, but like many people with sleep problems, my quality and duration of sleep probably depends on which sleep aids I'm using each night. It would be really nice to be able to choose whether or not a night is included in the graph by what sleep aids I used, or by what notes I took. Even better would be comparing different sleep aids side by side, either by different colors or separate graphs next to each other. In any case, you would definitely need to remove the lines between points on the graph to make this look right.

Point is, please add the option to include/exclude points from the graph based on custom criteria.
Sleepmeter - Feature #132 (New): adding mood before going to bed to things on the record tabhttps://css.squallline.com/issues/1322011-07-21T01:01:29ZTony Ciavarella

Hi

I was thinking on a feature that could be really useful.

The program tracks the sleep but a lot of times this is not enough to know how when and why on daily basis we feel completely rest. There are some days that even with night interruptions do you feel great and others that after sleeping 10 hours you feel like crap by day.

So knowing this it will be really great if some statistics could been added at the end of the day and cross all the data of sleep and day energy. I hope this can help to improve the program

Hi,

Two things:

#1 Your app is brilliant. I've been using it now for five days and found the stats it has gathered absolutely invalauable to me (as a chronic insomniac). I find the graph feature especially useful. Being dyslexic, big chunks of stats can take a while for me to comprehend, so having everything presented in a simple visual format is great.

#2 You asked for ideas about features. What would be useful for me, and maybe others too, is the option of being able to record your level of alertness the following day. App users could add this in as a edit to the sleep record from the previous night's sleep. It would be interesting to see if daytime grogginess corresponded to low levels of sleep, or to sleep aid usage. Sometimes I am suprisingly alert even on little sleep, but sluggish after a long drug-induced sleep, so it might be useful for people to identify what sleep aids (if any) produce the best level of alertness.

Thanks for creating such a great program. By the way, your text within it is very entertaining and makes me smile. Your words echo my own frustration at how so many people are out and out morons, or at least so lazy I'm surprised they can even be arsed getting out of bed in the morning.

Best wishes,
